Adding ramshorn snails to your tank
Adding snails to your marimo terrarium can be simple and fun but these little guys will require a little more care than just a regular tank setup! Snails love to eat java moss but if you find your snails are hungry or not eating the java moss given to them, they also love lettuce, apples, strawberries and blueberries! If you do not want to give them these foods, a tiny bit of fish flakes should do fine for nutrition for your snail buddies!

I create and design beautiful Marimo moss ball aquatic terrariums on Etsy for over a year now. I love what I do and it has allowed to me to stay home with my two beautiful kids full time. I am in awe with this mysterious and beautiful plant that is rare. Marimo moss balls are special rare round balls of algae which grow slowly in Lake Akan Japan. There is mystery and intrigue when it comes to the marimo. Marimo is Japan's national treasure and is known to bring good luck to anyone lucky enough to own one. There is a legend of two lovers drowing in Lake Akan while trying to be together. It is said that these lovers turned into marimo balls and their souls live on today!
